Where do you spend your life?

=========

A clubhouse that has skyrocketed recently.
I have been able to use it since it became popular, and I enjoy listening to various rooms. Recently, the number of users has increased, so there are many rooms that are of interest to me.
The other day, I went to the room where I talked about the "Local Vitalization Cooperator(Hereafter, it is written as LVC.)" and talked as a speaker.

I thought I would move to the countryside from my early twenties.
In 2011, my friend became a LVC and I learned about the system. And I wanted to move as a LVC, so I often searched for recruitment on the "JOIN" site.

After that, I moved to Kakeromajima as a LVC in Setouchi Town in 2016.
Please see this video for the story that went smoothly until the move.
(I'm sorry, only Japanese.)

When I heard about LVC at the clubhouse this time, I really sympathized with it.
Relationships with local governments and local communities ...I nodded loudly, "Me too!"
After all, I thought that "communication skills" were the most important thing to live anywhere.
Connecting with people helps us.

In my case, it's a type called "free mission type", and it's not clear, but it's my job to find something by myself while doing "village support" and "support for people who want to move to the island". It was the content.

I didn't have to go to the office every day and had fixed working hours, but I wasn't monitored, so I adjusted the time myself and found something to do.
And I submitted a report every day.

In the early days, it was okay to count "participation in village events" as a work, such as annual festivals and athletic meet.
I wrote reports, published information on Facebook, went to various places on the island, and asked guides about the island. And I also planned and managed the event, and designed the requested content.

But I was very worried about how I used my time and what I was doing.

"Is this okay?"
"Isn't it seen just by playing?"
"Is there still more work to be done?"
"How can I be recognized?"
etc...

In the first year, my feelings were unstable, and I was dented every time I went to training or learned the success story about other LVCs.

However, I thought VLC was a settling system.
Anyway, during my term, I connected with people even if I couldn't do anything, secured a place where I could work part-time, and started a cafe where I wanted.

Even after the LVC is over, I am living not only as a cafe manager but also as a part-time job at a support facility for the disabled, teaching dance and yoga, and so on.

Recently, I have applied for entrepreneurial support and are preparing my house for yoga and accommodation.

In addition, we are repeating trial and error so that we can continue planning musicals ...

I work every day, deciding to "Live my life on this island."

In other words,I noticed that I work every day "to live on the island" rather than "for salary".

"Itonami" = Do things, work. Acting for life.

"Itonami" here absolutely requires a connection with people.
That is why I am truly grateful for the connections I have made during the LVC, and I am able to live in Kakeromajima.
I think most of the LVCs are conveniently used by local governments,
But that's not surprising.

Still, there is a fixed warranty (rent, car, etc.) for 3 years.
I get paid (less than half of what I worked in the city)

I was able to lay the foundation for living .

I think it is a very grateful system, but I think it is necessary to be determined to use the system.

"Where do you spend your life?"

I think it's important to take a stance at that place, whether it's a lifetime or a limited time.
I think the same can be said for various communities such as countryside, cities, businesses, homes, schools and circles.

Where are you and what kind of stance do you have?

What kind of relationships should we have with the people who live there in order to lead a prosperous life?

With that "will", we can live anywhere, and I think we can find the best place for ourselves.
