COVID-19 booster shots may be offered to people sooner than 8 months after their second shot, due to the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant.
Under the current policy, people will be offered a third vaccine dose if at least 8 months have passed since their second dose. The government plans to shorten the interval to 6 months.
Customers at a Tokyo hamburger chain will soon show their faces, rather than cash or credit cards, to pay for their orders.
