Tableau is the BI tool that you can analyze data to solve problems. These days, Data Driven Culture is growing. In other words, we need to decide the decision based on Data.
So why people needs to use data?
Up to now, making decision only intuition and experience were mainstream. Of course, they are still important.
However, intuition and experience will be made reproducibility low, because they are deeply connected with personal capabilities. Therefore, this is not appropriate when working with many people.
By using Tableau, you can make the most of your organization's data through data driven problem solving.

近年、Data Drivenが重要視されています。これはつまり、私たちはデータを活用して物事を決定していく必要があるといえます。
ではなぜ、私たちはデータを活用しなくてはならないのでしょうか？
これまで、私たちは勘と経験を頼りに物事を決定するのが主流でした。もちろんこれらは今も大切な要素です。
しかし、勘と経験は個人の能力に深く結び付くものであるため、再現性が低いのが特徴です。これは多くの人と協力して物事を行う際にはふさわしくありません。
そこでTableauを使用すると、Data Drivenな課題解決を通して、組織のデータを最大限有効活用することができるというわけです。

どのように社内でTableau Cultureを浸透させるか
Using user’s abilities, creating the environment to analyze the data easily and creating Self BI culture, they are necessary to spread Tableau and to create Data Driven culture in your company.
As a Self Service BI, using Tableau is important for IT teams, sales and marketing teams, so that we will be able to get multi kinds of insights.
It is necessary educating users to establish Self Service BI culture in your company. Learning tableau as hands-on training is the efficient way to use data. Because it makes it easier for people to use data.
In Tableau, there is a platform called Tableau Public. In that space, you can see various Viz that Tableau users who are from all around the world have been created. It will be step close to improve your Tableau skills to refer to see other’s Viz.
Using community is also necessary to enhance your skill. There are a lot of Tableau communities compared with other systems and applications. Thre are over 510 communities are existing in the world. There are also many events have been held in Japan too.
However, what if you still feel like you've reached your limits in learning Tableau?

Tableauのコミュニティは他のアプリケーションやシステムと比べてとても多く、世界で510個もあります！日本のユーザーグループも多く、イベントが定期的に開催されています。

Data Saberプログラムとは
So, I would like to introduce the DATA Saber program. The DATA Saber program is one of the Tableau certifications in Japan. Those who have basic skills of Tableau can challenge this program. After 3 months challenge, you will be able to become the person who is in the center of spreading Data Driven Culture.
Go get certification, you will need to pass 10 skill tests and need having community activities.
After passed all assignments, you will be able to take the last tests. There are many hands-on challenges so that your Tableau skill is going to be improved.
Through the community activities, you will need to cooperate with people both inside and outside of your company. It will be the best chance to spread Data Driven Culture in your company as well. Therefore, you will be created the foundation to use company’s data more effectively.

ここで紹介したいのが、DATA Saberプログラムです。DATA Saberは、日本で行われているTableauの認定プログラムです。Tableauの基本的な使い方をマスターした人が挑戦することができ、3ヶ月という短い期間でデータドリブンな文化をもたらせる人材へと、進化することができます。課題として、技術力に関するものが10個、コミュニティ活動をいくつか行うことが必要で、全てに合格し最終試練をパスすると、はれてDATA Saberになることができます。技術力に関するテストでは、実際にTableauのVizを作成する演習が半分以上を占めているので、実践的な技術力の向上を図ることができます。またコミュニティ活動は、社内外での活動が必要となるので、より広い視点でTableauの活動を行うことができ、Data Drivenなカルチャーを社内に広げることができます。これにより組織のデータをよりよく使っていくための基盤ができます。
