January 25, 2023: Online Word-Processing Tools (2), Office 2013（オンラインワープロソフト(2)、Office 2013）

I still have not narrowed them down to just one. So I am going to use these three online word-processing tools for a while. I am writing this article on Word Online. It works as well as Pages and Google Documents and is much better than Word 2013. It is hard to believe that it is a member of the Word family. I ceased to use Word 2013. To be safe, I keep Word 2013 on my PC for a while. But I will remove it when I certainly no longer need it.
Word 2013 is part of the Office 2013 suite. The suite includes other tools such as Excel 2013 and Access 2013. Like Word 2013, Excel 2013 has sometimes not worked well. I also want to move to an online tool. But I cannot do it as quickly as I did with Word 2013. I have Excel files with macros. The same goes for Access 2013. I created a database with it about six years ago and still use it. I cannot say goodbye to them because I need them for another two years.
In any case, it was a great chance to find my ideas were so old that I should abandon them.

　最終的にどのソフトに絞るかを決めるために、PagetとDocumentに加え、MS WORDのWEB版の3つをしばらく試すことしました。この文書はMS WORD Web版で書いています。このソフトも他の2つのソフトに引けを取らないくらい快適に動作します。また、Word 2013とは比べものになりません。同じWord系ソフトかと思うくらい快適です。もうWord 2013は使うことはなさそうです。しばらく様子をみて、問題なさそうなら、Word 2013は削除します。
　このソフトは、パッケージソフト・Office 2013の一部です。他に、ExcelやAccessが入っています。Excelも Word 2013と同様、動作が遅くなってきました。こちらも、オンライン版や他のツールを試したいところですが、マクロを組んだファイルがあるため、簡単に切り替えられそうにありません。また、Accessも同じです。未熟ながらも5、6年前に作った仕組みをいまだに使っています。これらのファイルは後2年くらいは使いそうなので、その間は、Office 2013からおさらばできそうにありません。
　とはいえ、今回は固定観念を拭ういい機会になりました。
