March 28, 2023: WBC, Amazon’s Prime Membership （WBC、アマゾンのプライム会員）
It has been a week since Japan beat the United States in the WBC final to win the World Cup. But I am still in a state of excitement and need time to calm down. So I had been watching the videos of the semi-final against Mexico and the final against the USA over and over again until last week. The videos were not the ones that I had recorded. Instead, they were available on Amazon’s Prime Video. I was surprised to see Prime Video streaming both games live. And it also continued to stream the videos until last week. So I was able to watch them until last week. When I tried to watch videos of the games on TV, I had to check when TV stations were going to show them. But I did not have to do that with Prime Video. I could watch them whenever I wanted and jump straight to the scenes I wanted to see. That was the first time that I realised how great Prime Video was. And it was the moment I knew that Prime Video was the right choice for me. I have enjoyed Amazon’s Prime membership for a few years now. For only 500 yen a month, I can watch a lot of films and dramas. I also get free delivery on books and other items I order. I would never cancel it as long as it continues to stream major sports, like the WBC, live and on video.
WBCで日本が優勝して約1週間が経過しました。でも、まだ興奮はまだ冷めず、落ち着くには時間がかかりそうです。おかげで、先週まで、準決勝のメキシコ戦と決勝の米国戦をビデオで何度も見ました。ビデオといっても、自分で録画しものではなく、アマゾンのプライムビデオです。プライムビデオが準決勝と決勝を生と録画で配信しているのを見てびっくりしました。そのおかげで、先週までビデオをいまだに見ることができました。テレビで録画を見るには、テレビ局の放送時間に合わせる必要がありますが、プライムビデオの録画だと好きな時に好きなだけみることができます。この時、初めてプライムビデオのすごさを感じました。また、会員になっていておいてよかったと思った瞬間でした。
アマゾンのプライム会員はお得です。月額500円でたくさんの映画やドラマを見ることができます。また、本などの注文を無料で配送してもらえます。今後、プライムビデオがWBCのようなメジャースポーツを配信するようになると、プライム会員を止められなくなりそうです。
