Description :
Formed in 2019 as a communicator unit to promote understanding and discussion of digital technology, including xR and avatar communication (photo left: Juriko, photo right: Yohen). They are engaged in activities that go beyond being a distributor, such as presenting at international conferences, conducting digital workshops for children, and appearing on TV as VTubers.
Purpose :
Due to the nature of the Internet, there are cases where no trace of the avatar remains after retirement or disappearance. For this reason, we would like to leave some evidence that virtual people "lived here" in a coherent form.
Objective:
To archive various Avatar's voices as a study of the people involved, and to leave behind visual materials that can be used in cultural anthropology, communication design, etc.
Statement :

We are Holographic, an academic idol unit VTuber.
We record many different voices in the virtual world. The voices of people living as avatars, the views of experts, the criticisms on social networking sites... We hope that these records will be useful to people in the future.
In our broadcast (as of August 2020), we have been working with 50 different experts to think about the physical and psychological aspects of avatars, and to look at the various problems of people who spend time as avatars.
What I found out was that there are people who earnestly wish to live in another reality as avatars.
Avatar has the challenge that the self can be trapped by using it as a tool to be approved by others, and the possibility that it can also be used as makeup to freely express oneself.
Can you remove your makeup?
Do you think you need to remove it in the first place?
What is your boundary between the real and the virtual?
Avatar research has a wide range of related elements, from environmental design to body theory, from psychiatry to xR technology, from subcultural theory to fictional studies, and we cannot do it alone.
